KIIT suicide case: The government of Nepal showed alarm that the Nepalese students could be attacked if the "rowdy" students and the staff members stay in the institute. KIIT suicide case: The government ofOdisha has directed the management of private institute, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), to take action against the employees who were found manhandling agitating students after the demise of a Nepalese student in her hostel room.
The state government directive followed after Nepal Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba called Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi regarding the ill-treatment of Nepalese students. She demanded that the teachers and staff members who ill-treated the students be dismissed from the college.
